Get Amazon to Offer Bundles of Your Books
Have you ever been browsing on Amazon and noticed that sometimes similar books are bundled together in a package that can be purchased all at once? Have you ever wondered how you could get Amazon to offer your similar books together in one package, to increase sales of your other books in the same niche?
Here is book one in a middle grade series of mine:
There are five books in the series, plus a free prequel for those who join my mailing list. Here is how Amazon sells the whole series:
You can see from this graphic that the bundled series is the first thing people see if they scroll down the page after viewing book one. The bundle and the individual books in the series are listed directly below the book. Also, for all of the other books in the series, potential readers will see the bundled series on each book’s Amazon sales page.
Amazon will also do this even if your books are not part of a fiction series. You can have non-fiction books in the same niche bundled together like this, as well.
To have Amazon bundle your books together, you choose a series name and add it to your book’s description in KDP. You can use the word “series” in your series name, or you can leave it out. In this example, I used “The Alex Mysteries” as my series name. If you have a group of books on making money online, you could call it the “Make Money Online Series”. The series name is a great opportunity to use relevant keywords that are not contained in the title or subtitle of your book. You just need to make sure you are using an actual relevant phrase for your niche and not spamming Amazon’s algorithm by stuffing a bunch of keywords together and calling it a series name.
Here, you can see the KDP dashboard while uploading a book (book three in the series). I have listed the title of the book. There is no subtitle for any of these books. Below that, you can see the series name.
Once you add a series name and number to each of your related books, it may take a few days for the bundle to show up on the sales page. Just keep checking and eventually, it will be there and you’ll have an opportunity to sell all of your books at once instead of one at a time!
Enjoy!
